Early Entry Kindergarten Testing Information

Glendale Elementary School District will begin early entry kindergarten testing for the following year in June and the beginning of July.

Frequently Asked Questions 

Q:  Does my child qualify to take the early entry kindergarten test?
A:  Any child who will turn 5 years old between September 1 - December 31 at the beginning of the school year qualifies to take the test.

Q:  When will early entry kindergarten testing begin?
A:  Testing dates will begin June 

Q:  What will I need to bring on the day of the test?
A:  Please bring a copy of your child's birth certificate, a utility bill to verify proof of residency, and a government issued I.D. 

Q:  What material does the test cover? How is it given?
A:  The test is given one on one by a certified teacher. The teacher will ask the child questions involving reading, writing, math, fine motor skills, and gross motor skills. A parent interview is also conducted. 

Q:  Where will the testing take place?
A:  Testing will take place at Desert Garden Preschool.
