GESD Transportation Department Update

Dear Families,

You are likely aware that school districts across the state and nation are experiencing a bus driver shortage. Our dedicated transportation team takes great pride in safely transporting students to and from school.

However, despite our extensive efforts, we still find ourselves lacking sufficient bus drivers to cover all routes, resulting in delays and other challenges. To assist in alleviating the impact on our students, we would like to remind our families of the option to drive your child(ren) to and from school.

Please check with your school on the arrival/dismissal procedures for drivers. With your help, our transportation team will be able to adjust routes to accommodate the students who require bus transportation with as little disruption as possible.
