Annual Budget and Financial Documents

Our office is responsible for developing the district's annual operating budget, along with other essential financial documents and services.  We follow a strict timeline to ensure transparency and compliance with Arizona Department of Education (ADE) regulations.

• Proposed Budget: The proposed budget for the upcoming fiscal year (July 1 - June 20) is presented annually by July 5th.
• Adoption and Submission: The budget must be adopted and submitted to ADE by July 15th.
• Revisions: The budget may be revised several times throughout the fiscal year to accommodate any changes in financial conditions. 

Financial Reporting

In addition to the budget, we are responsible for preparing and submitting several key financial reports:

• Annual Financial Report: After the fiscal year ends, the Annual Financial Report must be submitted to ADE by October 15th.
• Audited Annual Financial Report: An independent auditing firm prepares the audited financial report annually.
• Classroom Spending Report: This report, created by the Auditor General's Office in March, outlines spending for the previous fiscal year.

Welcome to Payroll

The Payroll Department is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of employee pay. Payroll maintains the Timekeeping System, sick and vacation leave records as well as processes tax withholding charges, direct deposit, 403 (b) deductions, and other voluntary payroll deductions.
