Mission Statement

Discovery School fosters a learning environment in which everyone is safe, valued and respected.

GOALS

  1.  We will create a sense of community which includes all learners.

 2.  We will facilitate cultural integration among our students.         
 3.  The school environment will be safe, orderly and healthy.        
4.  All learners will be respected for who they are, how they learn,

and their ideas will be valued.                                          
5.  We will create a learning environment in which all students can

build the confidence and ability to take risks and can grow 

to accept more intensive challenges.                                

6.  Students will be actively involved in learning situations.           
7.  We will assist students in developing self-discipline and           

responsible decision-making.                                          
 8.  We will encourage every member of the learning community to

become increasingly responsible for their personal and      

collective learning.
