To Mrs.Terry's Class
Teacher Biography:
Karen Terry was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She has attended Glendale Community College, ASU West, and Northern Arizona University. Mrs. Terry has been teaching for eight years at Horizon Elementary School. Mrs. Terry is married and has two daughters, one 8 years old, the other 5 years old. Mrs Terry enjoys going camping and traveling.
Reading Pigs
We get a pig paper and color it. Then we get a reading paper and at home we have to read at least 20 minutes. We have to turn it in then Mrs. Terry will put money stamps on our pigs.
Non- Fiction - 30 cents
Poetry - 40 cents
Biography - 50 cents
Students in Mrs. Terry's class created character puppets from fiction books and then presented that character with an award based on the character's deeds. The students then had to write an acceptance speech for the character.
Students are encourage to read throughout the year. There are many different types of books for the chldren to read. Our class goal is to complete the "Rainbow".
