Our 100th day activity To celebrate 100th Day, students enjoy hands on activities that involve counting, sorting, and measuring 100. things. This is a fun learning day. Our class has really been exited about spelling, practicing math facts, and word analysis games (blends, contractions, etc.). Whenever we have five minutes or so during transition times, the children ask to play Sparkle, Around the World, or Baseball. The games have become very popular. We have a winner sign up for each game. Sparkle has become a monthly sign up. High Frequency Words Remember our second grade goal is for second graders to know how to spell the Fry's 200 High Frequency words by the end of the year. Most of the children are on their way to meeting that goal. In fact, there are several children beyond the 200 HFW list. To move forward, a student must have three consecutive 95% or better. Eatza Pizza Students will learn how pizza is made and they will make their own pizza . This is a fun activity for students to be engaged in learning about fractions..
