Officer Matt

Officer Matt teaches us how to say "NO" to things such as drugs and alcohol. D.A.R.E. stands for Drug Abuse Resistance Education. The 6th grade at our school is having a D.A.R.E. graduation. All the 6th graders have to write a 5 paragraph essay and Officer Matt will pick students from each classroom to read them in front of their class. He will then pick 2 students to read their essays to the entire 6th grade. D.A.R.E. graduation is on January 30, 2003.

Usually we have National D.A.R.E.

Winter is here

A Winter breeze is in the trees

Make my bare knees freeze

By: Marlon

The Morning

Phone is ringing

Dad is talking

Mom is awaking

Sister is moaning

That's the morning

Shining Stars

The stars in the sky seem to sing

With miracles they will bring.

They seem to be so near

But they are really far.

The stars should be here

But they are where they are.

They shine bright with all there might

In the middle of the night.

I always wonder

What is in the stars yonder?

By: April

Morning, the sun is the sun rising

Night, the thunder is roaring

It is frightening me

I am covering myself

The thunder stopped

I am asleep

By: Brandon

IM COLD

I'm so cold

I feel old

My legs are shivering

My teeth are chattering

By: Bridget

Fire Alarm

The fire alarm rings

The students go to their places

Panic is stirring

The principal speaks on the intercom

It was only a drill

By: Amber

Snow

The snow is falling

silently creeping above,

snow is gone, come back.
